RECESSION FIGHTER 5K RUN/WALK

To Benefit the UCF Health Sciences Library

                     SATURDAY, MAY 2^ND, 2009

9:00 am, sharp (Park opens at 8 am,  NO PETS ALLOWED)

5K  run/walk at Moss Park .  Take SR 528 to exit 13 and go south 3 miles and turn left onto Moss Park Road to the end. Or, take SR 417 to exit 22 and go north 2 miles to Moss Park Road.  There is a Park entrance fee, cash or check of $3.00 per car, 1-2 people, or $5.00 for 3 to 5 people.  Please have money ready, to speed up entry into the park.

AWARDS: Top Male/Female, Masters M/F, Grandmasters, M/F AND 3 DEEP IN 5 YEAR AGE GROUPS, 9 AND UNDER, 10-14, 15-19, ETC. UP TO 80+.  PLUS TOP 3 M/F WALKERS.  Chips and hotdogs are available at the conclusion of your run/walk.   Bring your picnic, volleyball, & swim suit.    

ENTRY FEE: $10.00 MAILED BY April 24th, AFTER THAT DATE AND ON RACE DAY THE REGISTRATION IS $15.00, CENTRAL FLORIDA STRIDERS CLUB Members take $2.00 off.  This is a NO-T-SHIRT event.   Sorry, no electronic registration or payments available.

Waiver: I know that running and volunteering to work in club races are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and participate in club activities unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to complete the event. I assume all risks associated with participating and volunteering to work in club events, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application for membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, the Central Florida Striders Club, Orange County Board of Directors and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in these club activities even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. (Parents sign for members less than 18 years of age).
